The use of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) concomitant with platelet transfusion is indicated in patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) in the case of life-threatening severe thrombocytopenia or hemorrhaging, or when therapeutic procedures with some risk of bleeding are performed.1 We describe a 44-year-old man with ITP who underwent a stress test for mixed angina attacks.
